When you turn in Jhongshan Rd. from Taiwan Provincial Highway 19, you can notice a paradise by the road not far away. The verdant gardens inside the elegant fences attract you to take a visit. The owner, Chen Yao-teng, used to be an ordinary peasant. Witnessing the traditional agriculture going to a dead end after peasants used too much pesticide which did a great damage to the surrounding environment, Chen Yao-teng made up his mind to introduce the concept of organic farming. So, Dao Siang Ecology Organic Educational Farm was borne. 


Lin Jhong-syuan, owner of the ranch, is very enthusiastic to help others. He also devotes himself to community regeneration and his efforts are recognized by the local residents. Besides producing goat milk, Lin Jhong-syuan developed such by-products as yogurt calcium tablets, goat milk popsicles, goat milk soaps, goat milk cream bath, goat milk candies and goat milk liqueur to promote goat milk's economic values as well as bring in more business opportunities. 
Yuan Sin Ranch has been run for 20 years, with a 800-ping land and 360 goats. Lin Jhong-syuan hopes to combine education, eatery and leisure together in the future management of the ranch.
