The West Lake (Xihu) village is the township’s most populous and cultured village. The local residents have spared no effort in the creation of the Watergate Garden, the Taiwan Garden, the Xifu Rainbow Bridge, the Xifu Temple and the Fulushou Garden. The weeping willows by the riverbank swing with the wind, creating a beautiful scene. Taiwan’s one and only remaining Gaojia Folk Orchestra of Jincheng Pavilion is also located here. Celebrated for more than a hundred years, this is one of Puyan’s most important cultural assets and an irresistible scenic spot for those who are interested in exploring local culture
