Dayou village used to be called Zhutoujiao. It was developed early and became the site for many old mansions. The Chen Family Compound is the best maintained among all of them. The beautifully adorned beams and carved ceilings as well as the two lush sweet osmanthus trees in the courtyard are now carefully protected assets for the community development project. The “Rebuilding Zhutoujiao” community development project uses “blue skies and green earth” as its main theme in the building of the Green Community Health Park, the Nesting School, the Arts and Culture Gallery and the Yilin Orchid Garden. The fragrant sweet olive of Zhutoujiao is a deeply charming recreational area.
