Yongle residents’ hard work during the past ten years on community development with the theme of “Reach out to the environment, love thy neighbor and enjoy Yongle” finally paid off when it received the “Best Community of the Nation” award. The “Meadow School” (Countryside Cultural Industry Workshop), one of the first organizations to work on community development, is located in the unassuming building for community events, gatherings and educational workshops. Its existence further strengthened the integration of “cultural industry” with “industrial culture.” The Meadow School is now regarded as the most representative symbol of the Most Charming City/Township Award and the Most Charming Community Award by visitors from around the country.
