Rivers and streams are the lifelines of people. For the local residents, Dongluo River（formerly known as the Zhuoshui River）was the origin of Puyan’s life. She gave birth and nurtured the Puyan people. Along the 4.2 kilometer-long waterway, trees grow dense, the water is clear and the sunrays are reflected. The grass is fresh and the birds fly by. Connecting the two banks are the Taiping, Tiansheng and Shibi bridges. Their shadows glisten as they are reflected on the waves. The far-flung fields of rice, the bamboo forests and the breathtaking scenery nurtured the rich local culture and the friendly people of Puyan. This is the terminal point of the Puyan Bike Path and the location of the Shibi Eco-friendly Scenic Park. After the now famous “Ecological method” was applied to the old Zhuoshui River, the area has become the most distinctive location in Puyan where culture and nature are alive and thriving. The Dongluo River acts like mother. Puyan’s beauty is in the Dongluo River.
