Nansin Village is situated 1.3 kilometers to the southwest of Puyan Town Hall. It borders Haosiou Village and Jiaoshu Village in the northeast, borders Sihu Township in the southeast, borders Sinshuei in the northwest and borders Sansheng Village in the southwest. It is composed of Dingnanshih settlement, Siananshih settlement and Sinjhuangzai settlement. The residents are composed of four clans: Shih, Huang, Tsai and Chen, among them Shih clan arrived here first and had a strong background, leaving behind many old houses, monuments and rich historical materials. Among them two ancient monuments related to Mazih Fort had much to do with the Shih clan’s development of Puyan in the early time and their land lease. They are important witnesses of the development of Puyan and the most important historical site in Puyan worth of preserving.
Each settlement in Nansin Village has its own temple to worship different deity. Sinjhuangzai has a Singan Temple. Nanshihpu has a Sinsing Temple. And there is another Baisinggong Temple at the intersection of Dingnanshih and Siananshih. In traffic, Nansin Village is the nearest village to the town hall of five southern villages of Puyan Township. But, in the early time, the traffic was not good without any provincial highway or county highway passing by. Now there are Haojin Road and Yongsin Road reaching to Lugang Township and Sihu Township by connecting Yuanlu Road.
In the industries, with bountiful water resources and fertile soil, rice and vegetables-especially the cauliflowers- are the chief agricultural produce. Peas, Chinese white cabbages and dragon fruits are also cultivated. There are also shops selling furniture, timber, electrical wares and factories manufacturing feathers and firecrackers.
